Volusia County Council Chair Candidates

The Volusia County Council Chair Race is a hot one with four candidates vying for the position. All the candidates have interesting backgrounds and everyone except for one has previous political experience.

While the Alliance generally chooses not endorse candidates, we do want it to be known that Deb Denys reached out to us and we met with her this week. Deb is a qualified candidate who resides in southeast Volusia and is well aware of the issues facing Volusia County.

Don graduated from Spruce Creek High School in 1985 and earned his Bachelors and Master of Business Administration from UCF. A lifelong resident of the area, he and his wife Anita decided to start a family here and now have 2 boys, Matthew and Patrick, both in college. See More
